Job summary

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate patient care using the nursing process in a 357-bed, not-for-profit Level II Trauma Center. You will work within a team that values excellence, collaboration, and state-of-the-art care, including advanced cardiac and trauma services.

Ideal candidates hold a California RN license, BLS, and a willingness to engage in specialty certification; BSN is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have current California RN license.
• BLS required.
• ACLS preferred (ICU) and other specialty certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process per HMNMH policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients based on HMNMH’s policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements.

Licensure and Certification:

• Current California RN license
• Current BLS provider card required
• Certified in field of specialty preferred
• ICU - Current ACLS certification required
• Certified in field of specialty (CCRN, Trauma) preferred
• DOU – Current ACLS certification required
• Certified in field of specialty (CCRN, PCCN, Trauma) preferred
• MS1 – Telemetry course, Stroke Course required
• MS2 – Telemetry course required
• MS3 – Telemetry course, Chemo Provider/Chemo Certification preferred
• MS4 & 5 – Experience required
• MAB provider card preferred

Education:

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred

Experience:

• Minimum one (1) year acute hospital experience required
• Additional experience in areas commensurate with primary work assignment.
