Job summary

Tower Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to provide nursing support under the supervision of a registered nurse in a hospital setting. You will assist with activities of daily living and help maintain patient safety and comfort throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include documenting care in electronic medical records, assisting with admissions/discharges, and coordinating with the care team to ensure smooth patient flow and cleanliness of rooms. Training and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care experience preferred but not required for employment.
• BLS Certification is required.
• PA Nurse Aide Certification if assigned to TSU unit at Reading Health Rehabilitation Hospital.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN.
• Assist with activities of daily living in a hospital setting.
• Light housekeeping in patient rooms and related areas.
• Document patient care in electronic medical records accurately.
• Support patient families and orient visitors to the unit.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and room availability.
• Demonstrate patient safety practices and team collaboration.
