Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will participate in implementing the care plan addressing physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs, while ensuring safety and comfort for patients.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and completion of relevant training; prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree; Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program preferred.
• 1 year experience in patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Implement components of the plan of care addressing physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Measure vital signs, perform ECGs and capillary blood glucose tests; monitor equipment and treatments.
• Incorporate the Hospital's Customer Service Program into patient care activities, including confidentiality and responsiveness.
• Report changes in patient condition to the Nurse Manager or designee and adhere to department policies.
