Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant for night shift, full-time at 3401 North Broad Street, Philadelphia. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and assist with daily living activities while supporting patient comfort and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and appropriate nursing assistant or medical assistant training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program preferred.
• 1 year experience in patient care preferred.
• Basic Life Support required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
• Implements components of the plan of care based on physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Provides comfort, safety and emergency measures; assists with activities of daily living.
• Measures vital signs, performs ECGs and capillary blood glucose checks.
• Observes and reports equipment status, treatment results and changes in patient condition.
• Adheres to department policies and procedures and customer service program.
