Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cambridge is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our team, working under licensed staff to assist patients with daily living activities, vitals, and mobility. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a supportive, learning-focused environment designed to foster growth within a leading rehabilitation network.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
No substitution of experience for the degree.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic preferred.
Nursing Assistant in NH preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform patient care duties including vitals, bathing, ambulation, 1:1 observation, phlebotomy, and assist with exams.
Document data in the EHR.
Assist with feeding and meal setup.
Maintain stocked and clean patient rooms.
Set up and clean equipment; report malfunctions.
Assist with admitting and discharging patients.
Orient new PCA team members.
Communicate with nursing staff and patients to support care.
Promote teamwork and professional growth.
