Job summary

Southwest General Health System in Middleburg Heights, OH is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for full-time daytime Hospice coverage. This role offers a sign-on bonus and involves working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The Hospice Aide will observe patient conditions, report changes to the RN, assist with activities of daily living, reinforce patient education, and support comfort and dignity at the end of life care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• CPR Certification required
• STNA Certification required
• Hospice experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Observe and document patients' needs and changes, communicating to the RN
• Assist with activities of daily living including hygiene, feeding, and mobility
• Reinforce patient teaching and provide comfort and support as part of hospice care

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required length and type of experience:

• Previous Hospice experience preferred.

Required licensure, certification or registry:

• CPR Certification.
• STNA Certification (State Tested Nursing Assistant)
