Job summary

Anchor Health in California is seeking a Hospice Aide to join our compassionate care team. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will provide essential personal care and comfort to patients, helping with daily activities and ensuring dignity and respect.

The ideal candidate must hold both a CNA and HHA license. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available. You will support patients and families through empathetic communication and coordinated care.

Qualifications

• The Hospice Aide provides personal care and attends to patient requests promptly.
• Communicate positively with patients and families while maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist with bathing, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens.
• Help with dressing and undressing as assigned.
• Respect patient and family environment and personal needs.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, deliver comfort-focused personal care to patients.
• Maintain patient privacy and report changes to Case Manager.

The hospice aide is a paraprofessional member of the interdisciplinary group who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort.

Requirements

1. 1. The Hospice Aide performs personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the Case Manager immediately.
2. 2. Providing patient and family with positive communication techniques, within realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality.
3. 3. Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen as often as assigned.
4. 4. The Hospice Aide assists in dressing and undressing patients as assigned.
5. 5. Respectful of patient and family/caregiver environment and patient's personal needs.

Must have both a CNA and HHA license
