Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our Progressive Care Unit team. The PCA delivers direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses and supports daily unit functions.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; Certified Nursing Assistant experience or current nursing school enrollment with Nursing Fundamentals, plus current BLS.

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Patient Care Assistant to join our nursing team on the Progressive Care Unit! The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is responsible for direct patient care tasks as assigned and under supervision of professional nursing personnel. Also provides indirect care to maintain unit functions as directed by the professional nursing staff i.e. care and cleaning of specific equipment, transportation of patients, stocking of supplies and equipment, etc.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Documented Nursing Assistant experience, Certified Nursing Assistant or current nursing school enrollment with completion of a Nursing Fundamentals course required. Current AHA BLS required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to perform diversified duties with time limitations with a high degree of accuracy.
Prior clinical experience preferred.
Preference will be given to applicants who are pursuing higher education in the health care field.
