As part of the team, you'll help care for patients with complex pain and spine conditions. Our experienced team aims to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to help each patient function at their best.

Under the supervision of the nurse leader, provides assistance with clerical and non-clinical tasks, such as ensuring clinical areas are stocked and patient care areas are clean and ready. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment emphasizing teamwork and prioritization. The individual may have access to drug products and secure medication areas (excluding controlled substances) to manage storage, handling, and disposal per policy.

• Acts as the front-line representative of the patient care area.
• Ensures the patient care area is well supplied, including ordering, restocking, and monitoring for expiration dates.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment by caring for equipment and cleaning patient/clinic rooms and work areas.
• Performs low-level disinfection and follows infection prevention principles.
• Performs quality checks of point-of-care testing machines.
• Checks emergency stations daily and monitors medication refrigerator temperatures when appropriate.
• Assists with escorting patients throughout the building, including helping with wheelchairs.
• Answers phone calls and supports departmental functions.
• Prepares patient forms with demographic information.
• Delivers specimens to the laboratory and runs errands.
• Participates in regulatory readiness activities and employs safety standards such as SBAR and huddle attendance.
• Participates in medication conveyance following policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional responsibilities for outpatient settings include greeting patients, preparing rooms and equipment, assisting with questionnaires, and maintaining organized and compliant chart information.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational, customer service, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
