Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and according to established policies, performs patient care activities to support healthcare providers in delivering quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely lift, transfer, and transport patients to inpatient beds and ancillary departments.
• Collect, perform, and document urine and glucometer tests and quality controls.
• Label and enter specimens obtained.
• Monitor high-risk patients such as restrained, suicidal, or combative individuals as directed.
• Obtain vital signs and weights.
• Accurately document in electronic medical records.
• Enter work orders into the computer system.
• Stock supplies at the bedside.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Maintain CPR certification.
• Preferred: STNA, NA, or MA licensure.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.
• Ability to work independently and professionally.
• Obtain/maintain 12-lead ECG testing proficiency.
