Position Summary

A registered nurse who provides patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, prescribing and delegating nursing care while maintaining professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Recognize and intervene appropriately for medically unstable patients from infancy to geriatrics.
  • Administer medications safely within RN scope.
  • Assist physicians with procedures on the unit.
  • Supervise LPNs, POCTs, and ancillary staff.
  • Ensure timely completion of physician orders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of equipment and procedures used in med/surg care.
  • Ensure patient safety, including fall risk management.

Requirements

  • Obtain/maintain telemetry certification within one year of hire.
  • Current Ohio R.N. licensure and CPR certification.
  • Maintain valid BLS certification.
  • Ability to work independently.
