Job summary

Visiting Angels Homecare in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking compassionate Patient Care Assistants to visit clients in their homes. No CNA required, but you must be able to care for all clients with dignity and professionalism.

We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules with day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Responsibilities include companionship, light housework, meal prep, dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, and safe use of lifts.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience preferred (1+ year).
• No CNA required but must be able to provide care for all clients.
• Able to use mechanical lifts when warranted (Hoyer, stand-aid).

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and assist with activities of daily living.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, toileting and grooming.
• Safely operate mechanical lifts when required (Hoyer, stand-aid).

Our Caregivers go into our client's homes to care for the elderly so that they can remain independent.

We do not require a CNA Certificate but we DO REQUIRE that a Patient Care Assistant - PCA on our team is able to provide care for ALL our clients. These tasks include (but not limited to): Companionship, light housework, meal prep, assistance with dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, and being able to use a mechanical lift when warranted (Hoyer, stand-aid, ect.) Hands on training is available! The office in Sioux Falls provides caregivers for the local area including Hartford, Brandon, Crooks, Tea, Canton, Larchwood IA, Harrisburg, Renner, Valley Springs, Dell Rapids, Luverne MN, and many others.
