Job summary

Visiting Angels Springfield is seeking caring Patient Care Assistants (PCA) to join our team serving the Macoupin and surrounding counties. You will assist with daily living tasks, mobility, meals, light housekeeping and transportation, delivering compassionate, personalized care.

We offer flexible shifts (full-time, part-time, PRN), weekly pay, a $400 sign-on bonus, paid orientation, and benefits (health, dental, vision). Training to grow your caregiving skills is provided.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation, mobility, and transportation.

• Shop for or accompany clients on shopping trips.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks bedside the client.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.

Patient Care Assistant - PCA Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Patient Care Assistant - PCA Requirements
