Position Details

Unit Description: 1DOU is a 30-bed observation unit with telemetry and med/surg patients. Patients are typically on the floor for 24-48 hours for observation or up to 3 days if admitted inpatient. The unit is fast-paced with frequent admissions and discharges. It welcomes new grads and is ideal for solidifying nursing skills.

Hours & Responsibilities

Position Summary: A caregiver responsible for providing or assisting with patient care, transporting patients, maintaining a safe and clean environment, monitoring equipment, and documenting appropriately. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills to care for various age groups according to age, developmental, and psycho-social maturity.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months of healthcare experience preferred.
• STNA certification preferred but not required.
• BLS certification required, with the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
