Lahey Clinic Hospital, Inc. seeks a Medical Surgical - 7 West Nursing Assistant to support patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role includes assisting with ADLs and basic care to ensure patient comfort and safety, and requires basic reading, writing, math and medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities include vital signs, intake/output, nutrition support, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols. Vaccination against influenza is required for staff.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to obtain knowledge of medical terminology and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Cares for patients as delegated by the registered nurse and completes ADLs.
• Takes and records vital signs such as height, weight and oxygen saturation and reports abnormalities.
• Collects intake and output and documents findings.
• Assists with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Performs basic clinical procedures under supervision and follows access policies for medications and vaccines.
• Assists with nutrition needs, meal setups, and feeding as required.
• Supports safety, infection control, and patient supervision as directed.
• Participates in orientation and unit activities as assigned.
