Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The role requires a CNA certification, BLS within 30 days of hire, and knowledge of medical terminology; two preferred certifications (phlebotomy, EKG) and prior acute care experience are desirable. This is a full-time night shift with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $17.50 to $23.55 The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
