Role Responsibilities

• Monitor patient safety through checks, safety monitoring, and maintaining a safe milieu. Conduct 15-minute checks, monitor for contraband, assess changes in condition, and provide line of sight or one-on-one care as directed.
• Assist RN with delegated tasks such as vital signs, specimen collection, documentation, patient education, and monitoring.
• Utilize effective milieu management skills to promote positive patient experiences.
• Escort patients to activities, meals, outside breaks, visits, and appointments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in psychiatric healthcare, especially with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or geriatric patients, preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, favorable MVR, and proof of insurance if using personal or hospital vehicle.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and before patient contact.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
