Qualifications

• Two years related clinical experience
• High School diploma or GED plus technical skills/training appropriate to the specialty area.
• Certified Nurse Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant; Nursing students actively attending an accredited nursing program are exempt of certification requirement provided a satisfactory completion of first clinical/foundations course.
• Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.
• Aggression Management certification within 90 days of hire
• EKG, and/or Phlebotomy competency validation required, as applicable to specialty area within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• The PCA II is accountable for supporting patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Performs patient care activities as delegated and adheres to patient safety measures.
• Demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness and communicates effectively with the care team.
