Job summary

HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, IL seeks a Nursing Assistant (CNA/PCT) to support inpatient Med Surg patients on the night shift.

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you will provide direct and indirect patient care and assist the care team with comfort and wellness. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, CNA or PCT certification with 6 months experience (or more than one year with no certification), and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience; or 6 months nursing assistant or Patient Care Assistant experience and certification.
  • CNA or PCT certification required with 6 months experience; certification not required with >1 year experience.
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire.

Pay Range:$18.00 - $25.20A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides direct and non-direct patient care according to their scope of practice. Act as a versatile member of the care team, providing clinical support and a comforting presence to help achieve patients highest level of wellness.
