Job summary

Mayo Clinic is hiring Nursing Assistants to support patient care across inpatient units, including Med Surg, Float Pool, PCU, and ICU. You will assist patients with daily living activities and carry out tasks under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Requirements include being 18+, high school diploma or GED, ability to multitask under pressure, strong communication and teamwork, and BLS certification prior to starting. Training and orientation are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to multitask under stressful situations.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate, collaborate and manage relationships with interdisciplinary members while maintaining patient/family centeredness and safety in a timely, efficient and equitable manner.
• BLS certification required before first day in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Perform delegated tasks to support nursing practice.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
