Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a Health Care Assistant in Minneapolis to support patient care under RN supervision. You will help with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and assist with basic procedures while maintaining a safe, compassionate environment.

Responsibilities include responding to calls, recording I&O and vitals in the EHR, stocking supplies, and coordinating with the care team to ensure patient comfort and safety during rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Current certification on Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry or related clinical experience.
• Ability to take and record vital signs and patient intake/output.
• Experience with EHR systems and nursing workflow is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Respond to call lights promptly and relay needs to the care team.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and perform delegated tasks under RN supervision.
• Maintain clean, stocked rooms and transport patients as needed.
• Document actions and communicate changes to the nurse.
