Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis is seeking a Health Care Assistant to support inpatient medicine units under RN supervision. This part-time (.8 FTE) role covers evenings and overnights, with a 64-hour biweekly schedule and varied workdays.

You will assist patients with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, perform point-of-care tasks, and document in the EHR. A nursing assistant program or MN registry certification is required, with training provided as needed.

Competenze

• Current MN Nursing Assistant Registry certification or eligibility.
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotation within an accredited nursing program or enrollment in Hennepin Healthcare Nursing Assistant program.
• Minimum 6 months of acute nursing assistance experience.

Mansioni

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
• Takes and records vital signs and monitors patient status as prescribed.
• Performs point-of-care tests and assists with routine procedures under RN supervision.
• Records actions in the EHR and communicates changes to the nurse.
• Keeps patient rooms clean, stocked, and organized.
