Job summary

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking a UAP to assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility, under RN or LPN supervision. You will respond to call lights, maintain dignity, and ensure patient safety while supporting the care team.

The role emphasizes compassionate, dependable care, effective communication, and adherence to established policies. This position is based on-site with a 40-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide compassionate, respectful, and dependable assistance to patients with activities of daily living.
• Ability to follow direction and complete delegated patient care responsibilities under supervision.
• Ability to perform assigned responsibilities within established competencies and organizational policies while maintaining patient safety, dignity, comfort, and privacy.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are essential for working effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Support safe patient mobility through transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using appropriate safety equipment.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests while helping maintain patient comfort, dignity, privacy, and safety.
• Provide compassionate assistance that helps patients feel supported throughout their care experience.
• Complete assigned direct and indirect patient care activities under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse.
• Perform responsibilities within your validated competencies and in accordance with organizational policies, established procedures, and patient safety expectations.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and other members of the healthcare team to support safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care while communicating patient needs and concerns to the appropriate nursing team member.
