Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (CNA) to join the Telemetry/Stepdown team. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The role requires a High School diploma and a valid Illinois CNA license, with preferred phlebotomy and EKG certifications. BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required, with prior acute care experience preferred.

Shift: Full-Time, Days 12 Hour Shift/ Rotating Weekends & Holidays

Hospital: Holy Family - LTACH

Location: Des Plaines, IL 60016

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $18.00 to $26.68.
