Job summary

Holy Family - LTACH in Des Plaines, IL seeks a dedicated Patient Care Assistant (CNA) for full-time, day shifts. Under RN supervision, you will assist patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care while ensuring a safe unit environment.

Required: High school diploma, Illinois CNA certification, and BLS; preferred: phlebotomy and EKG certs, plus six months in acute care. Des Plaines location with benefits package and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Department: Telemetry/Stepdown

Shift: Full-Time, Days 12 Hour Shift/ Rotating Weekends & Holidays

Hospital: Holy Family - LTACH

Location: Des Plaines, IL 60016

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
