Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join the Telemetry/Stepdown team on the Day shift. You will provide basic nursing care and assist with activities of daily living under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the unit.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment, supporting patients across shifts, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
