Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking a patient care associate to support RN-led care in a hospital setting. The role includes following the plan of care, performing delegated treatments, and assisting with patient admissions, discharges, or transfers as directed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CPR/BLS, and one of several credential paths such as CNA, EMT-B, CMA/RMA, or MA program graduate, or enrollment in an LPN/RN program with 80+ hours completed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
• 1 year prior health care experience in a hospital setting (Preferred).
• CPR/BLS Certification (Required).
• One of the following is Required: CNA, EMT-B, CMA/RMA, or Medical Assistant Program Graduate, or enrolled in LPN/RN program with 80+ hours completed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of EMR data collection systems.
• Follows plan of care and performs treatments/ procedures under RN direction.
• Performs basic procedures such as vital signs, wound care, drawing blood, specimen collection as allowed by competency.
• Ensures accurate clinical and quality documentation per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains clean, safe patient environment and manages supplies and equipment.
