Job summary

Prime Healthcare Services is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patient activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The role emphasizes safety and teamwork within a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have CNA certification and high school diploma, with preferred phlebotomy/EKG/BLS credentials and up to six months of acute care experience. Day shifts are available and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• 2. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• 3. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• 4. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• 5. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable required):

• 6. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• 7. High School Diploma or equivalent

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $18.00 to $26.68. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
