Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for per diem night shifts (7p–7:30a). The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, providing basic nursing care under RN supervision, and maintaining a safe environment on the unit.

Preferred qualifications include CNA certification, phlebotomy and EKG certifications, BLS within 30 days of hire, and up to six months of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Pay Transparency

St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $21.00 to $21.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
