Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a patient care support role to assist patients with activities of daily living and clinical measurements. Onsite position located at 70 Francis Street, Boston, with rotating shifts and 32 hours weekly.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene, documenting in EMR, and communicating health concerns to nursing staff. Requires high school diploma and BLS, CMA or EMT/LNA credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• CMA Certification preferred.
• EMT Paramedic certification preferred (Massachusetts).
• LNA (New Hampshire) preferred.
• Experience in patient care 1–2 years preferred.

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy.
• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Assists with basic hygiene tasks including bathing, dressing, toilet assistance and feeding.
• Assists patients with turning/repositioning and transfers between bed and wheelchair.
• Reports health concerns to nurses.

Job Summary

Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

Essential Functions

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.
• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
• Helps patients with a number of basic hygiene tasks. This may include bathing and dressing patients, helping them use the toilet if needed, and feeding them.
• Assist with helping patients turn and reposition themselves in bed as needed and help them move between the bed and a wheelchair if they use one.
• Listens to any health concerns patients may have and report those concerns to the nurses.

• Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred

• Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred

Experience

• Experience working in patient care/elder care 1-2 years preferred
