Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital, Inc. seeks a Patient Care Assistant to join the Burn Trauma Department. You will work in a supportive role to nursing, performing patient care activities and assisting with daily living tasks under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and either a Medical Assistant degree or WV CNA license or PCT Certification. CPR and Glucoscan credentials are expected within 90 days of hire. Experience is preferred.

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking aPatient Care Assistant to work with ourteam in the Burn Trauma Department.

The PatientCare Assistantworks in asupporting role to nursing by conducting patient care activities. Applicants provide direct and indirect non-professional nursing careunder nursing or medical supervision.Primarily this includes but is not limited to performing duties such as cleaning, taking vital signs, obtaining lab specimens, charting, escorting patients, assisting with activities of daily living, managing clerical dutiesand ordering and receiving supplies.

Candidates interviewed for this role will beasked to present proof ofrequired degrees, certificates and/or certificationsat the time of the interview. Candidates unwilling or unable to provide said documentation will not be considered.

To be considered, candidates must provide documentation of an 80%or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam, and proof of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification.
