Job summary

Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, TX is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This per diem position offers flexible shifts in a community-focused hospital known for quality care.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting the care team. A CNA certification and BLS are preferred, with six months of acute care experience

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• EKG certification preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
