Job summary

Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PRN) to join our 28-bed Medical Telemetry unit. You will provide direct patient care, document care activities in the electronic record, and help maintain equipment and supplies to support safe, high-quality care.

This role features varied shifts, weekends may vary, and offers the opportunity to grow professionally within Lifepoint Health’s nationwide network dedicated to making communities healthier.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma preferred.
  • Nursing Assistant Certificate preferred.
  • BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

More About Our Team

Our 28-bed Medical Telemetry unit provides specialized, continuous monitoring for a high-acuity patient population with diverse clinical needs. We manage a dynamic range of cases, including complex cardiac and respiratory conditions, post-surgical recovery, patients requiring bedside hemodialysis, as well as other medical conditions. This versatile environment demands a high level of clinical expertise to ensure safe, high-quality care for every patient on their path to recovery.

How You'll Contribute
  • Provides direct patient care
  • Performs specific documentation in the patient's record
  • Maintains equipment and supplies and participates in quality assurance
  • Communicates appropriate information in departmental and interdepartmentally
  • Assists and participates in staff education and pursues continuing education for personal development.
  • Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures
