Job summary

Tri-City Cardiology in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in a fast-paced office environment. You will assist with patient care, charting, vitals, and basic diagnostic procedures, with shifts typically 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Monday through Friday. Travel to East Valley locations is required during business hours. The role features a competitive hourly pay range and a comprehensive benefits package, including holiday pay and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant diploma.
• Current BLS certification (must be obtained in 90 days if not current)

Responsibilities

• Verifies accurate chart prep before patient visit.
• Follows MA rooming protocol and clinical protocols based on patient diagnosis or procedure (e.g. TAVR).
• Accurately updates patient medications, allergies, pharmacies, risk factors, social history and family history in the chart.
• Obtains vital signs, EKGs and rhythm strips as needed.
• Stock, clean and maintains supply inventory in exam rooms and primary work areas.
• Cross trains for additional diagnostic testing as needed

Position Details

• Position Location: East Mesa - Power and Main
• Schedule: (4x10s) or (3x10s and 2x5s) - 40 hours, all shifts M-F between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
• Travel: Required to fill in at other East Valley locations during business hours: San Tan Valley and Gilbert
• Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY

This position assists physicians with patient care in a medical office setting through the performance of all Medical Assistant activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Verifies accurate chart prep before patient visit.

SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION

This position is a safety-sensitive position in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes 23-493 (9).

TRAVEL

Local travel to other Tri City Cardiology locations is required during the business day.

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant diploma.
• Current BLS certification (must be obtained in 90 days if not current)

Eligibility

• All employees must be able to provide proof of their identity and their right to work in the United States.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous MA experience preferred.
• Cardiac experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
