Tri-City Cardiology is seeking an Ultrasound Tech Echo to join our team in San Tan Valley, AZ. The role conducts ultrasound studies per physician orders, including Echo portions of Stress Echo, 2D, Color, and Doppler, carotids, and vascular studies, with potential TEE support as certified.

Must be dual certified in vascular and cardiac (RDCS or RCS) with current BLS. Travel between East Valley locations is required; 4x10s, 7:00 am–5:30 pm, and competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RDCS or RCS registry must be obtained within one year.
• Cardiac and vascular pathology experience.
• Current BLS certification (90 days if not current).

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound testing within accreditation guidelines.
• Maintains 95%+ accuracy in data entry and worksheet statements.
• Measures appropriate organ systems accurately.
• Reviews orders and diagnoses for accuracy.
• Ensures patient understanding of tests and procedures.
• Distributes completed testing to physicians.
• Maintains clean, stocked work area.
• Mentors new hires/externs as needed.

Pay Range: $35.00 - 45.00

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for safely conducting ultrasound studies in various settings per physician orders. This position assists the physician by performing Echo portions of Stress Echo’s, M-Mode, 2D, Color and Doppler Studies, Carotids, Bubble studies, and other vascular ultrasound studies as requested and as certification status permits. This position may be asked to help perform TEE studies or other studies within their skill set and registration status

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs testing within appropriate time frame per accreditation guidelines.
• Maintains accuracy standards of 95% or higher with data entry.
• Maintains accuracy standards of 95% or higher with worksheet statement selection.
• Performs accurate measurement of appropriate organ system.
• Reviews physician order and diagnosis to ensure accuracy.
• Ensures patient understands test and procedure.
• Ensures completed testing goes to the appropriate physician.
• Maintains a clean room, stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assists in training and mentoring new hires or externs as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Appropriate registry credential RDCS or RCS (must be obtained within one year)
• Cardiac and vascular pathology experience.
• Current BLS certification (must be obtained in 90 days if not current).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

RVS or RVT registry preferred
