Position Purpose:

Great opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person physically, emotionally, and spiritually!

Position Summary:

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver excellent patient care under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include assisting patients with hygiene, activities of daily living, and supporting quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to patient call lights or rounds for assistance.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, including showers, oral hygiene, and dressing.
• Transport patients for procedures, transfers, or discharge.
• Maintain a clean and organized patient environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or 6 months of experience as a Patient Care Assistant/Nurse Tech, or completion of at least one clinical rotation in Nursing School, or enrollment in the Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and groups
