Job summary

Hunterdon Health in Flemington, NJ is seeking a Full-time Patient Care Assistant to provide quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse during evening and night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) on a rotating weekends/holidays schedule.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, valid CNA certification or equivalent hospital experience, CPR certification, CPI training, and the ability to assist with total patient care and maintain an organized unit.

Hiring Range: $21.53 - $26.91 Hourly

Position Summary

Provides quality patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Works within the guidelines of established practice for the Patient Care Assistant at HMC. Supports the mission, philosophy, and objectives of Hunterdon Medical Center.

License, Registry or Certification:

• State Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification OR non-certified nursing assistant with acute care hospital experience required. CPR certification is required. Crisis Prevention (CPI) training is required, and must be renewed annually. If not certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 6 months. CPI Course will be provided at Hunterdon.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

Required:

• Normal knowledge of basic patient care equipment, wheelchairs, and stretchers. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
