Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, FL seeks a patient care assistant to support RNs in the clinical setting. Under supervision, you will perform basic patient care and technical tasks. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, assisting with daily living activities, transporting patients, and maintaining clean rooms.

EKG and phlebotomy competencies are required within six months. Applicants should have at least three months of patient care experience or completion of a formal training

Qualifications

• No degree required; on-site basic patient care under RN.
• BLS and American Heart certifications required or in process.
• Within six months, EKG and phlebotomy competencies must be demonstrated.
• Minimum three months of patient care experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to work under pressure in a hospital environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist with transporting patients and activities of daily living.
• Monitor patient status and report abnormal findings.
• Assist with keeping patient rooms stocked, clean and orderly.
• Perform basic patient care tasks delegated by an RN, including vitals, EKG, phlebotomy, glucose testing, intake and output.
• Record intake and output and report changes to nursing staff.
