Minimum rate of pay: $16.29 PLUS DailyPAY

Position Purpose:

The PCT, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care considering age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs. They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe, and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year of previous direct care experience (acute or long-term) or successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
  • Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.
What You Will Do:
  • Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success.
  • The PCT assists patients in completing ADLs including bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices, and feeding and menu selection.
  • Collects and sends specimens including blood and blood cultures and inserts/removes peripheral IV catheters. Responsible for recording patient information and required data to meet documentation requirements.
  • Inpatient, 32-bed unit for adults and pediatrics ranging from 2 days old to 18 years of age, focusing on pain management, mobility, and patient teaching.
  • Team includes RNs, PCTs, Patient Care Assistants, Unit Clerks, Nurse Coordinator, Respiratory Therapists, Social Workers, Case Nurses, and Dieticians.
  • Specializes in adult Gynecology, Gyn-Oncology Breast, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Urology, and other Medical/Surgical patients, including pediatric patients.
