Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a claims processor to manage insurance claims for assigned facilities and ensure timely reimbursement. This role emphasizes collaboration with insurance payers, facilities, and patients within the Revenue Cycle to resolve issues and maximize cash collection.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a team. Prior billing experience and knowledge of UB04 and CMS 1500 forms are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required; 3-5 years preferred.
• Understanding of billing requirements for commercial payers and Medicaid, UB04 and CMS 1500 knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Processes filing for all assigned claims and follows up daily to prevent denials.
• Researches insurance correspondence and makes corrections for proper payment.
• Investigates denials and communicates issues to resolve billing requirements.
• Contact patients to explain benefits and collect payments; discuss payment plans as needed.
• Monitor eligibility and reimbursement; assist with inquiries from patients and insurers.
