Job summary

UCHealth UCHlth Admin Lowry in Denver, CO is seeking a patient account billing professional to join the UCHlth EBO Vendor team. This onsite role handles preparing, reviewing, and submitting bills in paper or electronic formats, coordinating with third-party payors and responsible parties to ensure timely billing.

You will review codes, resolve bill rejections, maintain claims documentation, and generate routine reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepares bills in the paper and/or electronic format designated by departmental and payor guidelines. Transmits bills to appropriate third party payors and responsible parties.
• Reviews bills for accuracy, including proper diagnosis and procedure codes. Reviews bill rejections and issues. Collaborates internally and with payors to resolve billing issues. Responds to patient billing inquiries.
• Documents billing activities in patient account records. Maintains documentation of claims processed as part of the daily claims reconciliation process.
• Prepares and reviews routine billing reports to ensure timely and accurate billing activity. Refers uncollected balances to appropriate collections/accounts receivable staff for follow up.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
