Job summary

Knowledge of ICD-10/HCPCS/CPT coding is preferred.
Basic knowledge of third-party and government insurance plans.
Good verbal and written communication skills; maintains confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Engages in core revenue cycle functions such as billing, claims filing, data entry, charge entry, insurance follow up, denial management, payment posting, customer service, and billing records review.
Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines; follows policies for revenue cycle duties.
Prepares and submits clean claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper in a timely and compliant manner.
Processes assigned reports, worklists, and patient accounts with high accuracy.
Communicates with patients regarding accounts, answers billing questions, and explains payment options.
Verifies patient insurance coverage and benefits, coordinates with insurers to resolve discrepancies.
