Job summary

White Mountain Regional Medical Center in Springerville, AZ is seeking a Patient Billing Representative to ensure accurate and timely billing of hospital accounts across AHCCCS, Medicaid, Commercial and Self-Pay channels.

Under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Director, you will collaborate with the health-care team to support patient-centered service, resolve billing inquiries, and strive for maximum reimbursement while adhering to applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in a healthcare environment.
• Certification within eighteen months after date of hire.
• Knowledge of health insurance benefits/coverage is preferred.
• EMR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accurate and timely billing of hospital accounts across AHCCCS, Medicaid, Commercial and Self-Pay.
• Collaborate with health-care team to support a patient centered culture and service quality.
• Work toward maximum reimbursement for services rendered while maintaining compliance.

Under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Director the Patient Billing Representative is a staff position responsible for assisting with the accurate and timely billing of hospital accounts, including all AHCCCS, Medicaid, Commercial and Self-Pay accounts, to ensure maximum reimbursement for services rendered. Through collaboration with all members of the health-care team, strives to support a patient centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC. All billers should obtain certification, if not already certified, within eighteen (18) months following the date of hire.
