Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years' experience with electronic hospital billing or collections.
• 1 year of experience with personal computer software and office equipment.
• 1 year of medical terminology and familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submit primary insurance claims to all carriers using electronic or paper methods.
• Review accounts pending payment from insurers and request additional information.
• Validate patient information for accurate billing and future follow-up.
• Respond to calls from patients and insurers with courteous assistance; other duties as assigned.
