Job summary

Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) seeks a Patient Account Rep to process statements for in-house and discharged patients, manage follow-up, and maintain patient financial files. You will advise guarantors on hospital policies and assist with Medicaid applications and related clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; medical billing certificate preferred.
• Two years of medical business office experience strongly preferred.
• This is an in-person office position.

Responsibilities

• Process all statements for in-house and discharged patients.
• Maintain follow-up and collection activity (letters, calls, personal contact).
• Maintain patient financial files and documentation; advise on hospital policies.
• Verify benefits and assist with Medicaid applications; other clerical duties as assigned.
