Job summary

Mon Health is seeking a Patient Accounting Lead in Morgantown to manage patient accounts during pre and post claims processing. You will guide billing and denial management, ensure accuracy, and provide top-tier customer service during patient registration.

You will leverage knowledge of revenue cycles, payer contracts, and regulations to support financial viability and timely follow-up, while maintaining high standards of productivity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in healthcare billing/revenue cycle patient accounting.
• Graduate of a medical billing/coding or medical office program preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing practices, medical terminology, patient registration, and federal, state and third-party billing regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer service representatives with call de-escalation and resolve billing questions and payer issues.
• Maintain knowledge of revenue cycles operations and third-party payer contracts.
• Ensure exceptional service during patient registration and resolve conflicts with patients and families.
• Apply codes according to established guidelines with accuracy as per policy.
• Meet productivity standards and prioritize multiple tasks; adapt to process changes.
