Prime Healthcare is seeking a Patient Account Representative I in Ontario, CA. The role focuses on posting payments to patient accounts, data entry, and reconciliation across systems, ensuring accurate application of payments and timely follow-up with payers.

You will review authorizations, stay current with contract terms, and handle related mail while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. Full-time, daytime shift with comprehensive benefits.

Competenze

• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required.
• Knowledge of basic medical coding and third-party operations.
• Knowledge of multiple insurance billing requirements.

Mansioni

• Post all incoming payments to patient accounts daily.
• Input and retrieve data from computer systems; reconcile accounts daily.
• Apply payments to patient accounts accurately and efficiently.
• Review and follow up on all authorizations and specialty referrals.
• Maintain knowledge of contracts and state Workers’ Compensation fee schedules.
• Handle incoming and outgoing hospital mail; correct mailing errors promptly.
• Analyze payments from insurance to ensure maximum reimbursement.
• Identify and resolve issues with payers and in-house resources.
• Ensure compliance with California and Federal regulations in payment practices.
• Forward underpayments/denials to the appropriate departments for follow-up.
