MedMark Treatment Center in Milford, OH, is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative / Patient Account Representative to perform administrative and billing tasks with attention to detail. The role focuses on patient billing, verifying invoices, maintaining third-party billing records, and resolving payment issues.

You will handle insurance verification, contact payers, manage revenue cycle, and ensure accurate account records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years’ experience with Medicaid and PAC and commercial insurance preferred.
• Excellent customer service and professional presentation, incl. telephone etiquette.
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and billing documentation.
• Proficient PC skills; Word and Excel preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Review, maintain, and process fiscal/account records related to patient accounts.
• Verify insurance benefits and billing information by terminal or telephone; annotate accounts.
• Contact third-party payers for payment post billing.
• Resolve issues with payment, billing, and authorizations.
• Reconcile daily money collected.
• Maintain accurate accounts and current demographics.
• Monitor authorizations and claim rejections.
• Backup receptionist duties as needed.
