Qualifications

• Prior experience in a medical office environment is required.
• Knowledge of CPT codes, ICD-10, HCPC coding, and insurance billing systems is preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with standard office equipment are required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient benefits and insurance eligibility prior to scheduled appointments.
• Enter accurate insurance information into the healthcare system and document co-pays, referrals, and balances.
• Obtain and document insurance authorizations in a timely manner.
