Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Patient Attendant to support patient safety and comfort on our Rochester campus. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), provide basic monitoring and assistance, and help maintain a calm, secure environment for patients during their stay.

Responsibilities include staying at the bedside, assisting with agitation, removing hazards, and accurately recording observations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of job-specific experience.
• Prior patient-facing experience is a plus.
• Able to monitor and report observations accurately and promptly.

• Remain at the bedside of your assigned patient at all times, unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Assist in calming and reorienting patients experiencing agitation or confusion.
• Remove visible hazards and broken equipment from the patient's environment and report as necessary.

Required Qualifications

What You Will Need

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention.
